The ketogenic diet is a diet high in fat, low in carbohydrates, and a sufficient amount of proteins. With very little carbs consumed the body goes into a metabolic
state known as ketosis. The body turns fat into ketones which then supplies energy as an alternative to glucose. As it has become popular over the past few year, the keto diet can be beneficial
towards weight loss, diabetes(Westmen, et. al, 2008), epilepsy(Hartman, et. al, 2007), and some forms of cancer (Weihua,et. al, 2007).
